As the heat index climbs and heavy rains have moved through, the fields seem to be overflowing with life. As I lean to the earth and find my focus, I feel as if there is a pulse in this dark soil.

This blog is a visual documentary of the seasons of produce at Trillium Haven Farm in Jenison, Michigan. The pictures tell the tale of healthy food that is raised locally, without chemicals and with much care. The photos are meant to capture the true beauty of real food.
About the Photographer
Shane Folkertsma is in the midst of his own renaissance, learning what it means to be a photographer, to be alive. Following the passion and produce of a local organic farm seems to be a great place to start.
